Getting Around Caloundra


A visit to Caloundra is a chance to do as much or as little as you like. Whether that means exploring the region’s meandering coastline, packing a picnic and heading to the nearest beach, or touring the magnificent Glass House Mountains or hinterland towns,a wide range of transport options makes it easy to get around.

BY CAR

Roads within Caloundra and along the Sunshine Coast are easy to navigate, with good signage. A number of rental car options are available in Caloundra or from the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast Airport.

BY BUS

BY RAIL

Queensland rail operates a regular service to and from Brisbane, which stops at the hinterland townships of Beerburrum, Glass House Mountains, Beerwah, Landsborough and Mooloolah. BY FOOT/BICYCLE

Many activities in Caloundra are within walking distance of each other, and the Caloundra Coastal Path, which takes in breathtaking scenery, stretches from Golden Beach to Point Cartwright. Bicycles are available to hire from Bills’ Boat and Bike Hire in Golden Beach.
