
Established in 1976 by The Shire of Landsborough Historical Society Inc. One of the largest social history museums between Gympie & Brisbane.
The main exhibition is located in the Bi-centennial Wing, which is constructed of mud brick and was designed by architect Gerard Murtagh. It houses a comprehensive and diverse collection of objects used in the area in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

You will find a great variety in this collection, from Magic Lanterns to movie cameras, Box Brownies to early SLR's (single lens reflex).
Communication
The telephone was the main form of communication in the bush.
Dairy
The collection of trophies, office requisites and butter making items from the Maleny Dairy Co-operative complement the many dairy items to be found in the machinery area.
Dental Equipment
Memories of the school dentist come to life when you visit the dental section with its furniture and tools.
Indigenous
Many of the stone axes and flints were collected in the local area. A wooden boomerang washed up in Tooway Lake at Caloundra, bears the impression of a snake.

Entry cost $10 for adults, $3 for children not accompanied by an adult, $9 for Australian pensioners and seniors and FREE for children under 15 with an accompanying adult.
